We expect a total of eleven fabulous venues to host competition, daytime open mics and workshops, and late-night showcases at the National Poetry Slam. Competition includes Preliminaries (seven venues from Tuesday, August 13 through Thursday, August 15), Semi-Finals (four venues on Friday, August 16), and Finals (one venue on Saturday, August 17).
We are still seeking venues for Friday, August 16. Ideal venues would be high-quality music or theater spaces on the north side of the Red Line, with a capacity of at least 250. Smaller venues will still be considered for daytime events throughout the week. Interested parties may contact the NPS 2013 Director, Simone Beaubien, at director@nps2013.poetryslam.com.
As of June 1, the following venues are contracted and confirmed to host events at the National Poetry Slam. See you there!
